All I really have to say is:

Here is your goddam mandate, George. The slim lead in the House and soon to be confirmed lead in the Senate may not seem like much, but ousting an incumbent is not an easy thing to do, and Democrats managed to beat at least 15 incumbent Republican representatives and will probably have defeated 6 Republican senators once the votes are finalized. The majority of the Governorships in the country are now held by Democrats as well. I'd say America has spoken.
